Open house mock election results

Kids had a chance to learn more about the voting process at our Fire Department and City Open House Oct. 8.

The mock election asked kids to vote for their favorite food and animal. Pizza (38 votes) and dog (43 votes) were the winners. 

See the mock election results below and thanks to the kids who stopped by our elections booth to learn more about voting.

Favorite Food:

  • Mac and Cheese: 21
  • Waffles: 18
  • Pizza: 38
  • Write-in: 20
    • Examples of write: Lasagna, Burger, “Cande”, Pot Pie, Bread, Lentils

Favorite Animal:

  • Dog: 43
  • Shark: 11
  • Penguin: 16
  • Write-in: 28
    • Examples of write-ins: Cat (8 votes), Sloth, Red Panda, Giraffe
