  • Officer Eliana Welbes earned a Commendation with Distinction Award for her exceptional conduct and competence defusing a tense situation earlier this year. Welbes demonstrated remarkable patience and skill in communicating with the suspect, who was grappling with mental health issues and the beginning stages of hypothermia.
