Tonka-Woodcroft Improvements Project

The City of Minnetonka is proposing a street reconstruction project in the Tonka-Woodcroft neighborhood (view map), which includes all streets south of Minnetonka Boulevard between Steele Street and Larchwood Drive.

Construction is proposed to take place in 2022 and 2023 and will include new pavement and concrete curb and gutter. Sanitary sewer, water main and storm sewer improvements are also proposed.

Project updates

Aug. 5, 2024

Over the next several weeks Hennepin County will be installing communication fiber along Minnetonka Boulevard from County Road 101 to Williston Road. This is a Hennepin County project and is not associated with the city’s recent neighborhood reconstruction or trail project.

Project surveying – August 2020

Surveying in the proposed project area, which includes collecting field measurements and gathering survey information, is expected to begin in mid-August 2020. Surveying will be conducted by the city’s engineering consultant, Bolton & Menk, and is weather-dependent and subject to change.

Surveying will be primarily conducted from the street, but may take place in yards, driveways and parking lots in certain areas.

Underground utilities will be temporarily marked with flags or paint. Please leave these markers in place until survey crews have completed work in the area.

Please follow social distancing guidelines and do not approach anyone completing field work in the project area. Instead, contact city staff to ask questions or learn more about the project.
