The sustainability commission reviews and provides input on sustainability issues to further the city's effort to protect and preserve the environment. The commission also serves as a resource for other city advisory group and acts as a sustainability ambassador to the community.

The city holds public meetings in person with the option to watch and participate remotely by electronic connection. Minnetonka City Council Chambers are located at 14600 Minnetonka Blvd.
