Dr. Kimberly Wilburn was elected to the Minnetonka City Council in November 2021. She fills one of two At Large seats that represent the entire city.

Although she is not currently in practice, Wilburn has worked as a doctor of veterinary medicine and scientist. She earned her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from Iowa State University in Ames, Iowa.

Wilburn has lived in Minnetonka for more than 23 years and raised two children along with her husband. They enjoy riding their bikes and visiting Minnetonka’s parks and outdoor spaces. She also enjoys singing in her local church choir.

2024 Alternate Acting Mayor

For the 2024 calendar year, Councilmember Kimberly Wilburn is designated as the alternate acting mayor if both Mayor Wiersum and Councilmember Deb Calvert (acting mayor) are absent for any reason.
