The Minnetonka Fire Department hosts and participates in many community events throughout the year, including:

• City and Fire Department Open House (Tuesday in October)
• Family Fun Day (Saturday in January)
• Sensory Friendly Open House (Saturday in April): An event designed for residents with sensory perception disorders, featuring no lights or sirens.
• Minnetonka Night to Unite
• Safety Camp: A one-day summer camp for youth entering grades three to five. Hosted in conjunction with the Minnetonka Police Department.
