The Multicultural Advisory Committee (MAC) is an engaged group of Minnetonka residents and community organizers who meet monthly with Minnetonka Police Department personnel to discuss topics that are important to their communities and the department. 

The goal of the committee is to work with the police department to strengthen police-community relations, in an effort to better understand and serve our diverse community needs. It is a component of the Joint Community Police Partnership.

MAC will include community members who:

• Live or work in Minnetonka
• Embrace the diversity of our community
• Are willing and eager to participate in challenging and meaningful conversations
• Can act as a bridge between the community and police department
• Will work collaboratively to enhance relationships between police and the community, specifically with immigrants and communities of color
