Minnetonka's annual tree and shrub sale has closed for the season. Orders are scheduled to be available for pick up in September.

Every year trees are lost to storms, disease and pests, including emerald ash borer, oak wilt and Dutch elm disease. Replacing themHeat map_2023 with diverse young trees makes Minnetonka's natural environment more resilient to future challenges.

Since 2007, Minnetonka residents have purchased more than 19,000 trees and shrubs at a reduced cost. To help everyone enjoy the benefits, the city's tree and shrub sale is conducted as a lottery, which prioritizes planting in neighborhoods that experience higher summer temperatures, shown in red on the map. Residents in those areas are eligible to place orders one week before the general sale opens.
