We offer the following water aerobics classes free to members. Nonmembers may purchase a guest pass to attend. Check the fitness schedule for group water class schedules. Schedules will be posted in late April.
Ai Chi
This class in the Therapy Pool is a form of gentle meditation in motion. It involves easy and familiar Ai Chi and Tai Chi moves, which help to deepen relaxation and reduce stress while improving range of motion and brain function.
Aqua 50/50
This class will be a combination of deep and shallow exercise movements. Come prepared for a challenging workout.
Aqua Cardio
A continuous flow of cardiovascular exercises, including treading water along with body toning, fueled with a variety of equipment to enhance resistance for a deeper level of strength and stamina.
Aqua Cardio Tone
Challenging cardio workout followed by exercises to strengthen and tone arms, legs and core muscles using a variety of pool equipment.
Aqua Flow
Purposeful range of motion for all and mindful moving with added strength and balance.
Aqua Surge
Create a strong rush of water with sweeping tempo movements. Be the wave! Incorporating core, alignment, breath and motion.
Aqua Tabata
This is a great class to burn calories, work your cardio levels and tone. Timed intervals of intense effort followed by periods of rest. The instructor will teach you proper form, how to increase/decrease intensity and have an aqua blast at the same time.
Aqua Yoga
Aqua Yoga is a low-impact aquatic exercise, performing yoga poses in water. Aqua Yoga helps you develop strength, static balance, and increases range of motion with little to no impact on joints, especially knees, hips, and ankles. No yoga experience is necessary.
Gentle Water Fit
Low to moderate intensity, increases range of motion and improves tone and strength for daily activities. This class is open to those with arthritis, hip replacements or other musculoskeletal challenges.
Hydro Core & Balance
A challenging and fun way to strengthen your core while improving your balance and posture in the safe, warm environment of the Therapy Pool. Using a variety of equipment and playful brain-boosting combinations, this class will also enhance body awareness and improve stability.
Hydro Tone & Stretch
Combination of upper and lower body exercises paired with targeted Barre movements which involve the support of the pool wall and assistance of an exercise ball. Throughout the class you’ll transition into stretching for optimal joint mobility.
Tai Chi
Tai Chi is like meditation in motion. Movements are gentle, slow and controlled. The movements can be modified so that participants can stay within their comfort zone. This class will help improve balance, decrease stress, improve joint health as well as many other aspects of health.
Water Fit
Performed in chest deep water, aqua exercise effectively improves the cardiovascular system while toning muscles, without overstressing joints.
W.I.T.
Water Interval Training alternates between cardio, water weights and exercise bands to improve your cardiovascular system, strength and muscle tone. This class is taught in chest deep water.
