Decorations

Guests may arrive 15 minutes prior to the birthday party to decorate the party room/space.

You may decorate the party room/space with decorations that are easily removable such as tablecloths, centerpieces, balloons, themed dinnerware and banners that do not require tacks. Please refrain from using items such as confetti, piñatas and glass. Other items you may want to bring to make your child’s day special include plates, napkins, plastic silverware, cups, candles, lighters, matches or party gift bags.

Birthday Party FAQs
- Will a Williston employee help with the party?
  A Williston employee is not assigned to your party. For safety reasons, we ask that you bring one adult for every eight children. Adults are free for birthday party packages, so you can invite as many grown-ups as you'd like to help supervise.
- How long does my party last?
  Your party package reservation is for two hours, but you may rent the room longer for an additional charge.
- Can we come early to set up in the reserved room?
  Yes, you may arrive up to 15 minutes early to set up.
- How are the party guests admitted to the facility? Do we meet them all at the front door?
  Party guests check in at the front door, where the service desk attendance writes down all the children’s names, then directs you to your party.
- Can we bring cake, ice cream and drinks for the party?
  Yes, you can bring your own food — only alcoholic beverages are prohibited.
- Does Williston provide crafts or other activities?
  Only the activity you chose with your package is available. Williston doesn’t offer any additional activities.
- Will other children be allowed in the play structure during our party time? Do we have a set time to be in the play structure?
  Other children are allowed in the play structure during your party. You don’t have a set time in which you need to use the play structure — you can use it as much or as little as you would like.
- Does the invite allow children to go swimming after the party?
  The party package doesn’t include pool admission. Once the party is over, please pay a separate admission for swimming.
- What if I have to cancel my party?
  If you have to cancel, the deposit is nonrefundable. However, we’ll be happy to reschedule your party for another day and time.
- How many children may attend as part of the party packages?
  The play structure party package includes 16 wristbands and the swim party package includes 16 wristbands. Due to capacity extra wristbands are NOT available for purchase.
- How do I request a room reservation?
  - You may request a birthday party room at minnetonkamn.gov/register by selecting "Rentals" under "Williston Fitness Center."
  - The online room request does not guarantee your reservation; it is a request for the room.
  - To book a party, contact Guest Services Manager Kris Ericson at 952-939-8300.
