Launch Properties has expressed interest in redeveloping 16 acres in the Opus Area, adjacent to the incoming Southwest Light Rail Station at the following properties: 5959 Shady Oak Road, 10900 Red Circle Drive, and 10701 Bren Road East.
The developer has not submitted a concept plan or formal application. If the developer intends to redevelop these sites, both a concept plan and formal application will be reviewed by the planning commission and city council, with ample opportunities for public input.
Opus Area Redevelopment Conversations
In early 2019, the city council, planning commission and economic development advisory commission will convene for a series of conversations to discuss the Opus Area, redevelopment opportunities and potential and area needs. The city has hired a consultant, Larry Blackstad, to facilitate these conversations. Launch Properties will also be in attendance.
