2020 Mill and Overlay Project

The city will resurface several streets in 2020 as part of an annual effort to improve and maintain Minnetonka's streets.

This project (view map) includes replacement of the road’s top layer of pavement, spot removal and replacement of damaged curbs and gutters, removal and replacement of damaged sidewalks and pedestrian ramp improvements.

2020 streets include:

Minnetonka Mills Road – Shady Oak Road to Hopkins Crossroad
Rowland Road – Baker Road to Whitewater Drive
Whitewater Drive – Clearwater Drive to Rowland Road

Sept. 18, 2020

Paving and striping has been completed on all roads.
Final cleanup is underway.
This marks the last city-issued update, as the project is complete.

How to prepare for construction

Remove landscaping materials from right-of-way if curb or sidewalk is marked for removal
- Property owners are responsible for removing or transplanting any existing trees and plants located within the public right-of-way that they would like to save. The public right-of-way varies, but is typically located 15-20 feet beyond the existing street. Residents only need to attend to this if their curb or sidewalk is marked for removal.
- The contractor will salvage landscaping materials such as fencing, arbors, boulders and sculptures to homeowners. These items will not be replaced as a part of the project.
Mark or flag pet containment and irrigation systems from work zone
