The internal piping for the new junction box has been installed. Now, the contractor needs to connect the new box to the existing sanitary system.

In order to make this connection, the existing system (all three lift stations) needs to be temporarily shut down. In an effort to minimize the disruption and risk, the system shutdown and connection work will take place at night, when flows to the sanitary system are significantly reduced.

Crews will begin the connection work Monday, Nov. 4 at 8 p.m.

Neighbors can expect general construction noise to occur beginning around 8 p.m. This may include equipment, generators, saws, drills and more. We expect a majority of the loud work to be completed by 11 p.m., with inspection and cleanup lasting a little longer.

• This project will not require any road closures. Water main work may require one short-duration lane shift. Please follow posted signs and drive carefully.

• The city aims to minimize the impact to Guilliam’s Field. Construction shouldn’t disrupt games.
• Until July 31, the parking lot will be accessible Monday – Friday, 3:30 – 11 p.m., and all day Saturday – Sunday.
• After July 31, the parking will be closed for three weeks as the contractor completes utility work.
