The city will install a new sanitary sewer manhole on the Metropolitan Council's sewer interceptor line in the southeast corner of Covington Park in the spring of 2023. These manholes provide city staff access to sewer pipes and are critical to relieve potential sewer backups in the future.

Contractors will access the construction site from the Covington Park parking lot and travel along the east side of the park. 

Trees will be removed in March, and manhole installation will begin between April and May.
