The City of Minnetonka is proposing street improvements along Wayzata Boulevard between Cheshire Lane and Plymouth Road (CSAH 61). The project includes pavement mill and overlay, damaged curb and gutter and sidewalk replacement, pedestrian ramp upgrades, and utility casting improvements. Construction is planned for 2024.

Sept. 6, 2024
This week:
- The final layer of paving was completed
- Road striping began

Sept. 3, 2024
Construction work on Wayzata Blvd will be taking place overnight on Tuesday, Sept 3. Paving of the final lift of asphalt will occur overnight Tuesday evening into Wednesday morning. Work is taking place overnight to avoid traffic impacts and businesses in the area. This will be the final night of overnight work.

Aug. 22, 2024
Construction on Wayzata Boulevard will take place overnight tonight, Aug. 22. Asphalt paving of business driveway entrances will occur overnight Thursday evening into Friday morning. Crews have scheduled late night paving to lessen the impacts on business traffic in the area.
Aug. 8, 2024
Construction on Wayzata Boulevard will be taking place overnight on Thursday, Aug. 8. The first lift of asphalt paving is scheduled to occur overnight Thursday evening into Friday morning. Overnight paving will take place to avoid impacts to traffic and businesses in the area. This is the first of two overnight paving dates, the next of which will happen in a few weeks.

- Concrete driveway installation was completed

- Grading in areas where pavement was removed
- Bituminous patches will be paved
- Bituminous paving of the base layer will occur

- Additional driveway removals continued
- Bituminous trail prepped

Street improvements are expected to begin in July, and will last approximately 6-8 weeks. Detailed information is coming soon.
The project will include:
- Pavement mill and overlay
- Replacement of damaged curb, gutter and sidewalk
- Pedestrian ramp upgrades
- Utility cover/inlet improvements.

The City of Minnetonka will host two open house events on Aug. 24 at the Minnetonka Community Center. From 3 - 4 p.m., information will be tailored to Minnetonka businesses, while the 5 - 6 p.m. open house will be tailored to residents.
