• The Carlson Parkway Improvements Project was substantially completed in 2019. Final construction items will begin Tuesday, April 7, 2020 and we expect to finish by April 30, 2020.
• Watch for lane shifts and construction workers throughout the project area (view map). Please follow all signs and drive carefully.
• This is our final planned update for the remainder of the project. 

• Major construction on the Carlson Parkway Improvements project was completed this summer. This week, crews returned to complete traffic signal installation.
• The new traffic signals have arrived and are currently being installed. Once they’re operational, the old signals and bases will be removed.
• Depending on the weather, the remaining sidewalks will be poured and landscaping will be restored next week, or next spring.

• Paving Carlson Parkway is complete.
• The road will be striped this week.
• Traffic signal installation and remaining concrete work will happen this fall when the new signals arrive.

• Milling of Carlson Parkway is complete.
• The road is scheduled to be paved tomorrow (Saturday, June 22) and re-striped next week (June 24-28).
• New traffic signals will be installed this fall.

Construction Updates

• All concrete replacement is nearly complete. Spot pavement removal continues.
• New traffic signal installation continues on Carlson Parkway and the following cross-streets: Oakland Road, Deer Creek Road and Twelve Oaks Center Drive.

What to Expect

• Carlson Parkway will be milled and repaved next week throughout the entire project area.
• Traffic signal installation and spot pavement removal will continue.

Traffic Updates

• We’re working closely with MnDOT to improve traffic signal timing to better accommodate traffic.
• Please drive carefully and watch for changing traffic control and site conditions in the project area.

Construction is under way on the Carlson Parkway Improvements project. Throughout the project, we’ll post updates on what’s been completed and what to expect in the near future.

• Curb and gutter replacement is complete, including new asphalt patching where needed. Sidewalk replacement began.
• New traffic signal installation began on Carlson Road and the following cross-streets: Oakland Road, Deer Creek Road and Twelve Oaks Center Drive.

What to Expect

• The remaining sidewalk panels will be poured (except around the new traffic signals) and site restoration will begin behind the newly-poured sidewalk.
• Traffic signal installation will continue.
