The City of Minnetonka is reconstructing Woodhill Road between Highway 7 and Excelsior Boulevard. Construction is expected to begin the week of April 16 and will continue through the fall.
This project includes new pavement, concrete curb and gutter and an asphalt sidewalk on the west side of the road. City utilities, such as water main and storm sewer, will also be replaced. Construction will occur in three stages.
In addition, Xcel Energy and other private utility companies are burying overhead utilities on the east side of the road in advance of the project.
Approximate schedule
Please note, this schedule is subject to change and is weather dependent. Working hours are 7 a.m. - 10 p.m. Monday – Friday and 8 a.m. - 6 p.m. on Saturday.
- April – June: Stage 1 (White Oak Road to Highway 7)
- May – August: Stage 2 (Excelsior Boulevard to West Gate Road)
- July – September: Stage 3 (West Gate Road to White Oak Road)
- October: First Layer of pavement, restoration and site cleanup
- Spring / Early Summer 2019: Final paving and cleanup
Although most of the project will be completed in stages (see map), some construction activities such as tree removal and erosion control may be completed project wide.
